15) Administrator-only Google Drive backup
Added September 28, 2026. This section applies only to the operator’s backup utility; it does not change how website visitors sign in or use the Site.
COMIDRA Codex Backup is a private backup utility used by the COMIDRA operator. It is not a sign-in feature for website visitors and does not request access to visitors’ Google accounts.
When the operator expressly authorizes a Google account, the utility uses the Google Drive API to upload COMIDRA workspace and Codex backup archives, inspect backup file metadata, read backup files for integrity verification, and manage older backup generations according to the configured retention policy. Google Drive authorization may permit broader file access than the backup folder; the utility is configured to operate on its designated backup location. Its access is not limited to a folder by Google’s permission screen itself.
Backup data stays in the operator’s authorized Google Drive and is not made publicly accessible by this utility. This Google Drive data is not sold or used by the utility for advertising. The advertising and analytics sections of this website policy describe website visitor activity, not this administrator-only backup connection.
The utility’s OAuth credentials are stored in a restricted local configuration outside its backup source directories. They are not included in the utility’s backup archives. The operator can revoke the utility’s Google account access at any time; doing so stops future access but does not by itself delete previously stored backup files. The operator can manage or delete those files in the designated Google Drive location.
The normal remote retention setting keeps one verified recovery generation, subject to a maximum age of 14 days. During recovery incidents, older generations may be preserved until a replacement is verified. Local recovery files may also be retained during troubleshooting.
