The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) public location layer hosted by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) was retrieved in full, removing our twelve-system filter. The twelve operator descriptions below are optional function references, not coverage filters.
The January 2020 public layer was retrieved in full; Alaska is excluded from this map and selector. The 40 records without coordinates are also not drawn. This is not every pipe, including household distribution, or a complete current network. Later changes, actual flows, current operation and disaster damage are not assessed.

EIA STEO World Liquid Fuels Supply and Demand. Liquid fuels include crude oil and other petroleum liquids; production and consumption are shown on the same daily-volume basis. A positive balance suggests supply above consumption and a negative balance suggests a shortfall; forecast values can change with each STEO release. IEA EV Oil Displacement by Mode and Scenario. IEA means the International Energy Agency. Oil displacement is estimated oil use avoided by electric vehicles, not measured total oil demand. LDV means light-duty vehicles. The stacked bars split the total among LDVs, trucks, buses and two- or three-wheelers. CPS reflects current policies and STEPS stated policies. They are alternative outlooks and must not be added; positive display values reverse the source chart’s avoided-use sign. Wheel/Pinch=Zoom · Drag=Box zoom · Alt+Drag/Arrows=Pan · Double-click=Reset
EIA OPEC Spare Capacity and Unplanned Supply Outages. EIA means the U.S. Energy Information Administration, and STEO is its Short-Term Energy Outlook. Spare capacity is crude output that OPEC could bring online within 30 days and sustain for at least 90 days. Unplanned outages are unexpectedly unavailable output. Lower spare capacity together with higher outages means a thinner supply buffer, not a guaranteed price forecast. Wheel/Pinch=Zoom · Drag=Box zoom · Alt+Drag/Arrows=Pan · Double-click=Reset
WTI: U.S. crude-oil pipeline transport costs. BLS is the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Its producer price index tracks fees received by U.S. pipeline operators, not the commodity price. The stated base period equals 100. A reading of 120 means fees are 20% above that base; it is not a charge per barrel or per unit of gas. The second panel compares with the same month one year earlier. Blank early values have no comparable observation; they do not mean zero. This U.S. average excludes tanker freight, LNG shipping and insurance. Monthly values are not seasonally adjusted, may be revised, and do not predict WTI or gas prices. WTI: tanker freight price indices (BOJ). BOJ is the Bank of Japan. Its Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) measures prices of business-to-business services in Japan; this series covers ocean tankers. The 2020 average equals 100: 150 means prices are 50% above that base. Contract-currency values exclude conversion to yen; yen values include exchange-rate movements. Neither is a dollar freight quote. The lower panel shows percentage changes from the same month a year earlier, calculated by COMIDRA. Early blanks mean no comparable observation, not zero. Monthly, non-seasonally-adjusted indices are not a global route-specific freight rate or a WTI price forecast. BOJ may revise past values; the monthly file does not identify each observation as provisional or final. Wheel/Pinch=Zoom · Drag=Box zoom · Alt+Drag/Arrows=Pan · Double-click=Reset
WTI: marine and other transportation insurance (BOJ). BOJ is the Bank of Japan. Its Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) includes marine and other transportation insurance for business transactions in Japan, not only crude-oil cargoes. The 2020 average equals 100: 150 means insurance prices are 50% above that base. It is not a quoted premium, a percentage of cargo value or a war-risk surcharge for a particular route. The lower panel shows changes from the same month a year earlier, calculated by COMIDRA. The first twelve months have no comparable observation and remain blank. This non-seasonally-adjusted yen-basis index is context for transport costs, not a WTI price forecast. Values may be revised; the monthly source file does not label individual observations as provisional or final. Wheel/Pinch=Zoom · Drag=Box zoom · Alt+Drag/Arrows=Pan · Double-click=Reset
